Staff

At Top Edits, we believe that you should be judged by your ideas and qualifications, not by the minor difficulties that arise in your written English. Staff members are highly trained, flexible, and prepared to meet all of your editing needs. Our qualifications include:

• Ph.D. degrees in Political Science, Sociology, English Literature, Economics, Biology, History, Philosophy, and Engineering—all from top universities in the U.S.
• Experience working on university admissions committees. We know exactly what these admissions committees are looking for in applicants’ writing and essays.
• TOEFL training. Staff members are able to recognize patterns in non-native English and to refine your work without taking away your voice.
• Specialized staff in law, business, and medicine. These staff members understand the language requirements of your particular field.
• Former high school English teachers. Some of our staff members have experience working with students at the early stages of their writing careers. We understand common grammatical errors that students make and are able to greatly enhance flow, clarity, and readability.
